In order to expand our business, we took part in the call for proposals under the Interregional Programme for the Alpine Massif (POIA-ERDF)

Having outsourced our sawmilling operations for several years, we wanted to bring them back in-house as part of a new phase of development
Consequently, our new workshop – which is located (outside the POIA project) at the entrance to the Vallouise Valley – brings together our sawmilling and construction activities, incorporating the ‘Bois des Alpes’ certification into our production process to improve the final quality of our buildings.
The project has therefore taken shape with the purchase of a sawing line, a kiln and a planer.
SARL Chalets Garnier will thus become one of the few Alpine companies capable of producing chalets with traditional larch timber frames on a semi-industrial scale, thereby meeting the needs of a growing market
The planer is already installed and operational at our current premises. The sawing line and the kiln are now installed at the new site.
This means we are able to control the quality of our timber by sawing and drying it ourselves. Furthermore, this process allows us to make use of our wood waste, as it is used to power the timber dryer.
